In recognition of World Teachers’ Day, we join together as the Board of Education and district leadership to express our sincere gratitude for the extraordinary work teachers do every day across the Cariboo-Chilcotin School District.
This year’s theme, “The Teachers We Need for the Education We Want,” reflects the essential role teachers play in shaping the future of our students and communities. Teachers are not only educators—they are mentors, advocates, and leaders who make a lasting difference in the lives of children and youth.
We see the dedication of our teachers in the way they work collaboratively in school communities for the success of all students, build safe, caring, and inclusive learning communities, engage in meaningful professional development, and foster Indigenous and place-based learning. Their commitment to learning, equity, and care is the foundation of our district’s strength.
Today, we honour our teachers’ professionalism, passion, and impact. Please join us in thanking Cariboo-Chilcotin teachers for everything they do to make our schools places of growth, belonging, and possibility.
