The Cariboo-Chilcotin School District is pleased to share information about upcoming erase Family Sessions, offered through Safe Schools Together. These free online sessions are designed to help families navigate the challenges and opportunities of today's digital world while supporting the safety and well-being of children and youth.
Families are invited to participate in sessions that explore topics including digital citizenship, social media use, cyberbullying, sextortion, smartphone safety, and the growing influence of artificial intelligence. Participants will gain practical strategies for supporting young people online, recognizing warning signs, and knowing where to seek help when concerns arise.
Available sessions include:
- Establishing Safe, Caring & Respectful Digital Communities: An overview of digital citizenship, cyberbullying, sexting and sextortion, social media, smartphones, and AI. Intended for parents, caregivers, grandparents, and youth aged 10 and older.

- May 11th, 2027 - Establishing Family Practices for Safeguarding Against Cyberbullying and Sextortion: A focused session on recognizing and responding to cyberbullying and sextortion, understanding current trends and apps, and learning practical prevention and response strategies. Intended for parents, caregivers, grandparents, and youth aged 10 and older.
